Title
mariteam® Terms & Conditions
1. Contract Conclusion
Registration for mariteam courses, seminars, and sailing trips can be done via online form, in writing, or by email. Upon receipt of the deposit in mariteam’s account, registration is confirmed in writing and becomes binding for both parties. Early registration is requested for all participants, as yachts must be chartered in advance and late registrations may endanger the event.
2. Payment
Participation is only possible after prior payment. A deposit of 50% of the event price is due upon registration, unless otherwise stated. The remaining balance is due at the start of courses and seminars, or 60 days before sailing trips, unless otherwise noted. Bank charges are borne by the payer.
3. Service and Price Changes
Sailing depends heavily on weather conditions. Planned stages and routes are not fixed. mariteam reserves the right to change stages or routes before or during a trip due to weather or other circumstances beyond its control. Claims for compensation are excluded.
Prices depend primarily on the chartered yacht and expected number of participants. Fewer participants may lead to proportionally higher costs. Flight prices are indicative and may change until booking.
4. Cancellation
Cancellations must be in writing or by email. Customers may name a replacement within 14 days of cancellation, at the latest 30 days before the event. mariteam may reject the replacement if they do not meet requirements. If no suitable replacement is found, the canceling participant is responsible for their share of yacht costs, skipper fees, insurance, and any related sport supervision costs. Additional costs due to cancellation are borne by the customer. Travel cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
5. Liability
Participation is at your own risk. mariteam’s liability is limited to intentional or grossly negligent acts by the skipper or sport supervisor. Travel accident insurance is recommended. mariteam is not liable for lost sailing days due to yacht breakdowns. Travel to and from the departure port is the participant’s responsibility. Customers are responsible for travel documents, vaccinations, and customs/foreign exchange regulations.
